Hosts

The actions outlined in this document, such as acessing the AnyPrint Hosts page, require the Global Administration role or a Valid AnyPrint license. Please ensure that you have the necessary permissions to or licenses to perform these actions.

The Hosts page in the AnyPrint portal provides an overview of the various hosts (computers) that you have logged into and enrolled in AnyPrint. This page allows you to efficiently manage your enrolled devices, enabling actions such as downloading the latest agent, pausing a host, or removing it as needed.

AnyPrint Hosts


Add Device

Devices are automatically enrolled with AnyPrint as soon as the application is launched and a valid user logs in. Enrollment is directly tied to the user. AnyPrint is currently compatible with the Windows Operating System. To get started, download the latest version of AnyPrint for Windows and complete the installation. Once installed, simply log in, and your device will be automatically enrolled and visible within the Hosts section of the portal.

  1. Login to the AnyPrint Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Hosts page.
  3. Click on the "Add Host" button.
  4. The AnyPrint Agent installation software will download.
  5. Click and Run the application to install on supported operating systems.

Pause Host

At times, you might need to temporarily disable or pause a host. Pausing a host will deactivate all printers associated with it, preventing them from being accessible on other enrolled hosts. A paused host will be in an inactive state.

  1. Login to the AnyPrint Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Hosts page.
  3. Find a relevant host and Click "Actions".
  4. Click "Pause"
  5. The host will now enter a paused state, causing all local printers identified on the host to become unavailable on other enrolled hosts.

Resume Host

When you're ready to reinstate normal host operations, you can resume a paused host. This action will reactivate and restore access to all printers local to the selected host, allowing them to be accessible on other enrolled hosts once again.

  1. Login to the AnyPrint Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Hosts page.
  3. Find a relevant host and Click "Actions".
  4. Click "Resume"
  5. The host will now be restored to an active state, resuming all local printers identified on the host to become available on other enrolled hosts.

Delete Host

If needed, you can remove a host from your tenant by selecting the "Delete" option. This action will permanently remove the host and its associated local printers from your AnyPrint user account.

  1. Login to the AnyPrint Portal.
  2. Navigate to the Hosts page.
  3. Find a relevant host and Click "Actions".
  4. Click "Delete"
  5. The host will now be deleted and removed from your user account. All local printers will no longer be available on other enrolled hosts.
Deleting a host is an irreversible action. Once a host is deleted, all associated data and local printer relationship will be permanently removed from your AnyPrint user account, this action cannot be undone. Please proceed with caution.
